Administrator – Intern

We are a new and exciting venture situated on central London on a mid stream mooring opposite the Houses of Parliament. We have two main functions the first being a research and development hub dedicated to hydro electric generation and electric boats. The second being a venue for hire with our events partners.


This is a core role within the project as we move forward. You will be the main point of contact for all enquiries and be responsible for all the administrative functions on a day to day basis. Working closely with the MD and other staff and volunteers you will play an active part developing and consolidating our social media presence. You will be financial competent in the use of Kashflow and link in with our accountants as necessary. You will also have the responsibility of ensuring that all relevant documentation is filed in time with Companies House. Your excellent online skills will be needed on a daily basis as well as carrying out ad hoc research.

This is initially a pro bono position with the potential to become a paid post as the project moves forward.

What we need you to do

  • Act as administrator to The November Project in all day to day operational matters
  • Act as the first point of contact for calls, visits and enquiries to The November project
  • Organising meetings as required, co-ordinate online diaries and set reminders
  • Carry out online research as directed
  • Answer the phone and deal with initial enquiries (phone, written and electronic)
  • Maintain financial records (including processing receipts on Kashflow) deal with The November Project’s accountants and ensure all returns to Companies House are made on time
  • Ensure social media sites are updated as requested by the MD and respond as required
  • Ensure blogs are updated as requested by the MD and edit feedback
  • Undertake online research as directed

What we need you to have:

  • Experience of office administration – including filing systems and supplies etc
  • Experience of financial administration on a day to day basis including making and receiving payments and maintaining electronic records
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people
  • Good IT skills: WordPress and Kashflow and website editing
  • Excellent attention to detail in numeric and written work
  • Knowledge of social media
